Our Thanksgiving Food Drive has been an amazing success because of the generosity of so many. St. Aloysius Church in Jackson, The Friendly Sons of the Sheilaleigh in Belmar, The Church of St. Anselm, Red Bank Catholic H.S. and so many other filled our pantry shelves and freezers to help us give our folks a great Thanksgiving feast. Thanks to all!!!!

The Center in Asbury Park "runs" on volunteers!

We have over 35 volunteers each week that do all the things that are essential to the operation and activity of The Center:

  • Providing a welcome to the folk who come in needing assistance.
  • Serving Meals
  • Maintaining our food pantry
  • Preparing food bags and hygiene packs for the folk to take home
  • Doing publicity
  • Planning for fundraising activities
  • Simply being a friendly face and a loving presence for the folk who need some friendship

The Director Talks About Volunteering

Volunteers spend about six hours per week at The Center, however, some do less and others do more.

Because volunteers are essential to the spirit and the function of The Center we can work around your schedule.
